Use Aleph 2.0 when you already have footage and need a prompted visual change. Runway lists
aleph2 in its developer API and powers Edit Studio with the same model family. It is not
a text-to-video model, a universal Gen-3 replacement, or proof of Flowith availability.
Answer surface

Video plus a text prompt or image instruction in; transformed video out. Aleph 2.0 is a video-to-video model, not a text-to-video replacement.
Edit Studio uses Aleph 2.0 for prompted changes to existing footage. Web-app controls and API request fields are separate surfaces.
28 credits per output second, with a 56-credit minimum per generation. Runway Dev currently sells credits at $0.01 each; taxes and live rates can change.
Runway names Edit Studio Aleph 2.0 as the current video-to-video replacement after Gen-3 Alpha and Alpha Turbo retirement.
Not asserted on this page. Runway's catalog does not establish a current Flowith model mapping.
Hands-on editing
Use the web interface to upload footage, add an edit prompt, and review the result. Account access, controls, and web credits belong to the live Runway app.
Product integration
Use the `video_to_video` endpoint with the current `aleph2` model identifier. API credits, task status, rate limits, moderation, and output handling belong to Runway Dev.
Separate workspace
Check the live Flowith model selector independently. This source guide does not promise Aleph 2.0 access through Flowith.
Acceptance workflow
Cost example
At the current API rate, a 5-second attempt uses 140 credits, or $1.40 before tax. Four attempts for one accepted edit imply $5.60 in generation credits before storage, review, and post-production.
accepted cost = seconds × live credits/second × attempts + review + post-production
This is a dated illustration, not a quote. Confirm the live pricing page, minimum charge, failed-task treatment, taxes, and account terms.
