Atlassian says only the invoking user can see and interact with the agent’s chat and loading states in the documented comment flow. The final page or comment contribution can have a different audience, so verify that destination separately.

- Confirm a site administrator enabled the required Rovo, AI, or MCP agent surface.
- Select the exact agent and verify its owner, instructions, knowledge, tools, and current version.
- State the target page, requested change, source hierarchy, prohibited changes, and acceptance criteria.
- Use the smallest context that can support the task; do not add unrelated restricted pages or credentials.
- Ask the agent to show assumptions, source links, changed sections, and unresolved questions.
- Review every suggested write, comment, label, status, whiteboard, database, export, or public link separately.
- Compare the published result with the prior version and exercise the revert path when testing.

An agent completing the requested API or UI action does not prove that the content is correct or that the business outcome occurred.
Keep intent visible
Atlassian says space-level instructions can give agents a shared playbook. Use them for stable local rules such as terminology, page templates, owners, and review expectations. Do not use space instructions as the only control for secrets, regulated data, legal approval, access control, or irreversible actions.
When a request crosses spaces, connected products, or external destinations, restate the authority and data boundary. A page mention should not silently authorize a broader search, Jira change, public link, or third-party export.
