Fotor Free, Pro, and Pro+: A High-Volume Editing Cost Checklist

Fotor plan names, prices, promotions, AI credits, and limits can change by billing cycle, region, platform, and account. The previous version of this page froze a price table and declared one plan the right choice for nearly everyone. That recommendation is not durable.
Use the live Fotor pricing page and account checkout as the controlling source, then calculate whether the plan supports the actual editing workload.
Start with the work volume
Estimate one month of work:
- images imported;
- images requiring background removal, enhancement, retouching, or other AI operations;
- batch size and number of batches;
- generated images or other credit-consuming actions;
- required export size and format; and
- number of users or brands.
Do not assume that one edited image equals one credit. Confirm how the current product charges each operation and whether failed or repeated attempts consume credits.
Free plan: validate the workflow
Use Free to confirm that Fotor can open the required files, perform the necessary edit, and export an acceptable result. Check watermarking, resolution, templates, storage, AI limits, and whether a payment method or trial conversion is involved.
Free is an evaluation surface, not automatically the lowest-cost production plan. Manual workarounds and restricted exports can cost more reviewer time than a paid tier.
Pro: test ordinary recurring work
Fotor’s help center describes Pro as a paid tier with a monthly AI-credit allocation. Evaluate it when one person has recurring editing work but does not require the additional Pro+ or higher-tier capacity.
Run a representative batch and record:
- credits consumed;
- accepted images;
- rejected or repeated edits;
- batch and export limits; and
- human cleanup time.
Pro+: test higher AI and batch demand
Fotor documents a larger monthly credit allocation for Pro+ than for Pro. That does not by itself make Pro+ economical. Calculate whether the additional credits and plan features replace real add-on spending or manual work.
If the live product includes another tier such as Max, include it in the same calculation rather than forcing the decision into the older three-plan structure of this URL.
Monthly versus annual billing
Compare the complete checkout terms:
- amount charged today;
- billing period and renewal price;
- promotion expiry;
- refund and cancellation terms;
- whether credits arrive monthly or upfront; and
- whether unused credits expire or roll over.
Fotor’s help center states that annual-plan credits are issued monthly and describes a limited rollover period for unused credits. Recheck the current help article because these rules affect the real value of annual billing.
Cost per accepted image
Use:
total subscription and add-on cost ÷ accepted production images
Track reviewer minutes separately. A lower subscription price is not cheaper when the output requires substantially more correction or cannot be exported in the required format.
Evidence boundary
