Important limitation
As of September 9, 2026, we could not verify a first-party site, operator, documentation set, or support channel for a drone-management product named Skywark. The answers below therefore describe evidence a buyer should request, not capabilities that we attribute to Skywark.
The earlier version of this FAQ answered product questions with unsupported feature descriptions. Those statements have been withdrawn.
Product identity
Is Skywark a verified commercial product?
Not from the evidence available to this review. A verifiable trail should connect the product name to an official domain, legal entity, terms, privacy policy, current documentation, and support channel. Similar company names are not proof of ownership or affiliation.
What should an operator provide first?
Ask for the legal contracting entity, headquarters, product URL, documentation URL, security contact, support terms, and a live demonstration tied to a named product version.
Compliance
Does Skywark support FAA Part 107 compliance?
We found no first-party documentation that establishes this. In the United States, the remote pilot remains responsible for operating within applicable rules. The FAA’s commercial-operator guidance is the authority to consult; vendor dashboards are not a substitute.
Require the vendor to show which checks are informational, which records are stored, which actions require pilot confirmation, and how rule changes are maintained.
Is Skywark an FAA-approved LAANC supplier?
Do not assume so. Check the current supplier list on the FAA LAANC page and match the exact legal entity. A platform may integrate with a supplier without being one; that relationship should be documented.
Does it support Remote ID?
No support claim was verified. Ask for compatible hardware and firmware versions, what identifiers are collected, what alerts are generated, and whether the workflow is advisory or controlling. Confirm requirements using the FAA’s Remote ID guidance.
Does it support EASA operations?
No claim was verified. Europe has operation categories and requirements that depend on the mission and risk. Use EASA’s civil-drone material, then require the vendor to map each claimed workflow to the relevant jurisdiction and operation category.
Safety
What safety evidence should a vendor provide?
Request hazard analysis, test scope, failure-mode behavior, incident procedures, uptime definitions, change logs, and the boundary between automated recommendations and control actions. Ask who can override the system and how those decisions are audited.
What happens when data or connectivity fails?
A credible answer should cover stale telemetry, GPS degradation, sensor conflict, network loss, service outage, and corrupted records. Test these cases in a non-critical pilot rather than accepting a slide-deck description.
Does the platform support BVLOS operations?
Software alone does not grant permission for beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations. Require a precise description of the regulatory basis, approvals, aircraft, operating area, detect-and-avoid system, command-and-control link, and human responsibilities for the proposed mission.
Hardware and sensors
Which aircraft and payloads are compatible?
We found no verified Skywark compatibility matrix. Require a versioned list of aircraft, controllers, firmware, payloads, telemetry formats, APIs, and known limitations. Test the exact production configuration.
Does it support detect-and-avoid sensors?
No support claim was verified. Ask whether data is merely displayed or used to recommend or execute an action; request latency, coverage, false-positive, and failure-mode evidence for the specific integration.
Procurement decision
Do not buy or deploy the product until its operator and documentation are verified. If verifiable materials become available, start with a time-bounded pilot using non-critical missions, predefined acceptance criteria, and an exit plan for data export and deletion.
