Custom Branding
Can I use my own brand colors, logo, and fonts in Gamma?
Yes, but the level of customization depends on your plan:
- Free plan — Limited to Gamma’s default themes and color options. No custom logo or font upload.
- Plus plan — Upload your logo, set custom brand colors, and choose from an expanded font library including custom font uploads.
- Pro plan — Full brand kit with custom templates, design guidelines, color palettes, typography, and shared asset libraries across your team.
How do I set up a brand kit?
Navigate to your workspace settings and select “Brand Kit.” From there you can:
- Upload your logo — Gamma places it consistently across all presentations
- Set primary and secondary colors — These become the default palette for all new presentations
- Choose or upload fonts — Select heading and body fonts that match your brand identity
- Save — The brand kit applies automatically to every new presentation you create
Existing presentations do not retroactively update when you change your brand kit. You can apply the updated kit to an existing deck by selecting “Apply Brand Kit” from the design menu.
Can I have multiple brand kits for different clients?
On Pro and Enterprise plans, yes. You can create multiple brand kits within a team workspace and switch between them when creating presentations. This is particularly useful for agencies, consultants, and teams that produce content for multiple brands.
On Plus plans, you are limited to a single brand kit.
Does the Gamma watermark appear on all presentations?
On the Free plan, presentations include a “Made with Gamma” watermark on the bottom of each card and on exported PDFs. On Plus and Pro plans, the watermark is removed entirely.
Export Options
Can I export Gamma presentations to PowerPoint?
Yes, on Plus and Pro plans. Gamma exports presentations as .pptx files that open in Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, and other compatible applications.
Important caveats about PowerPoint export:
- Layout fidelity — Most layouts translate well, but some complex card arrangements may require minor adjustments in PowerPoint
- Fonts — If you used custom fonts in Gamma, the recipient needs those fonts installed or the export substitutes system fonts
- Interactive elements — Expandable sections, embeds, and interactive features do not translate to PowerPoint’s static format
- Images — All images are embedded in the .pptx file, increasing file size
Can I export to PDF?
Yes, on all plans. Free plan PDFs include the Gamma watermark; Plus and Pro plan PDFs are clean.
PDF export captures each card as a page, producing a document that reads well both on screen and in print. The PDF format preserves visual design more faithfully than PowerPoint export.
Can I export to Google Slides?
There is no direct Google Slides export. However, you can export to PowerPoint (.pptx) and then open the file in Google Slides, which imports .pptx files. Some formatting may shift during this conversion.
Can I share presentations as a link instead of exporting?
Yes, and this is Gamma’s recommended distribution method. Every presentation gets a unique shareable link that displays the content in Gamma’s interactive viewer. Link sharing offers several advantages over file export:
- Always current — Updates to the presentation appear immediately for viewers
- Interactive — Viewers can scroll, expand sections, and interact with embeds
- Responsive — Adapts to desktop, tablet, and mobile screens
- No download required — Viewers access content in their browser
- Trackable — On Pro plans, you can see who viewed the presentation and for how long
Can I embed Gamma presentations in websites or Notion pages?
Yes. Gamma provides an embed code for each presentation that works in:
- Notion pages
- Websites (via iframe)
- Confluence pages
- WordPress and other CMS platforms
- Most tools that support iframe embedding
Collaboration
Can multiple people edit a Gamma presentation simultaneously?
Yes. Gamma supports real-time co-editing, similar to Google Docs. Multiple team members can work on the same presentation simultaneously, with changes visible in real time and cursor positions shown for each collaborator.
How does commenting work?
Team members can leave comments on individual cards. Comments support:
- Text responses and threads
- @mentions to notify specific team members
- Resolution tracking (mark comments as resolved)
Comments are visible only to collaborators, not to external viewers accessing the presentation via a shared link.
Can I control who can view or edit my presentations?
Yes. Gamma offers several sharing permission levels:
| Permission | Can View | Can Comment | Can Edit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Viewer | Yes | No | No |
| Commenter | Yes | Yes | No |
| Editor | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Owner | Yes | Yes | Yes (+ manage permissions) |
You can share presentations with specific email addresses or generate a public link with a chosen permission level.
Is there a team workspace?
Yes, on Pro and Enterprise plans. Team workspaces provide:
- Shared presentation libraries
- Shared brand kits and templates
- Team member management and role assignment
- Centralized billing
- Shared analytics across all team presentations
On Free and Plus plans, presentations are associated with individual accounts.
Can I transfer ownership of a presentation?
Yes. Presentation owners can transfer ownership to another Gamma user within the same workspace.
AI Generation and Credits
How does the AI credit system work?
Gamma meters AI usage through a credit system on Free and Plus plans:
- Generating a full presentation consumes approximately 40–80 credits depending on length
- Regenerating a single card consumes 5–10 credits
- AI text rewrites and suggestions consume 2–5 credits per action
- Manual editing (typing, rearranging, resizing) consumes zero credits
- Design and theme changes consume zero credits
Credits refresh monthly on your billing date. Unused credits typically do not roll over.
How many credits do I get on each plan?
| Plan | Approximate Monthly Credits |
|---|---|
| Free | ~400 |
| Plus | ~1,000+ |
| Pro | Unlimited |
Exact credit allocations may vary. Check gamma.app for current tier details.
What happens when I run out of credits?
You can still:
- View, share, and export existing presentations
- Manually edit text, images, and layout
- Apply themes and design changes
You cannot:
- Generate new presentations from prompts
- Use AI-assisted editing (rewrites, suggestions)
- Regenerate cards
Credits refresh on your next billing date, or you can upgrade your plan for immediate access.
Can I buy extra credits without upgrading?
Some plans offer credit top-up purchases. Availability varies — check your Gamma dashboard under “Credits” or “Billing” for current options.
Does the AI generate images or just select them?
Gamma primarily selects and matches images from its visual library based on the content of each card. The AI analyzes the text and theme to find semantically relevant visuals. On some plans and in some contexts, Gamma also integrates AI-generated imagery, though the primary approach is curated selection rather than generation.
You can always replace any AI-selected image with your own uploads.
Content and Privacy
Is my content used to train Gamma’s AI models?
Gamma’s privacy policy should be reviewed directly on their website for the most current terms. Generally, enterprise plans include data isolation agreements. Free and individual plans may have different terms. If you are working with sensitive or proprietary content, review the privacy policy and consider the Enterprise plan for stronger data protections.
Can I use Gamma presentations commercially?
Yes. Content you create in Gamma is yours to use commercially. The Gamma watermark on Free plans does not restrict commercial use — it simply brands the output.
Does Gamma store my presentations?
Yes, presentations are stored in Gamma’s cloud. You can delete presentations from your account at any time. For specific data retention and deletion policies, consult Gamma’s privacy documentation.
Platform Capabilities
What languages does Gamma support?
Gamma’s AI can generate content in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and others. The interface is primarily in English. Generation quality is highest in English and may vary for other languages.
Can I import existing PowerPoint files into Gamma?
Yes. Gamma supports PowerPoint import, which converts .pptx files into Gamma’s card-based format. The conversion process:
- Maps each slide to a card
- Preserves text content and basic formatting
- Imports images
- May require layout adjustments, as PowerPoint’s rigid slide format does not always map perfectly to Gamma’s fluid card format
This feature is useful for migrating existing decks to Gamma’s interactive format.
Does Gamma work offline?
No. Gamma is a web-based platform that requires an internet connection for all features, including viewing, editing, and AI generation. You can export presentations to PDF or PowerPoint for offline access.
Is there a mobile app?
Gamma is optimized for web browsers on both desktop and mobile. Gamma presentations are responsive and display well on mobile devices. As of early 2026, there is no dedicated native mobile app — the web app serves both desktop and mobile users.
Can I use Gamma for documents, not just presentations?
Yes. Gamma supports a document mode that produces long-form content in a scrollable format rather than a card-by-card presentation. This is useful for memos, reports, proposals, and other document types that benefit from AI generation and professional design but do not need a presentation format.
What integrations does Gamma offer?
Gamma integrates with:
- Notion — embed presentations in Notion pages
- Slack — share presentation links with preview cards
- Figma — embed Figma designs within presentations
- YouTube/Vimeo — embed videos inline
- Google Sheets/Airtable — embed live data views
- General iframe — embed any web content
For API access and custom integrations, Enterprise plans offer additional options.
