About This FAQ
Veed Pro 2026 is a browser-based AI video editing platform that handles recording, editing, subtitles, translation, and team collaboration without any software download. This FAQ addresses the questions most commonly asked by creators and teams evaluating or already using the platform.
Questions are organized by category for easy navigation.
Subtitles and Transcription
How accurate are Veed’s auto-generated subtitles?
For clear audio in major languages, Veed’s AI subtitle engine achieves 95-97% accuracy for English and 92-96% for other widely spoken languages. Accuracy varies based on:
- Audio quality: Studio-recorded audio with minimal background noise yields the highest accuracy. Outdoor recordings, conference room audio, or phone-quality recordings reduce accuracy by 3-8%.
- Speaker clarity: Clear diction and moderate speaking pace improve results. Heavy accents, fast speech, or mumbling reduce accuracy.
- Technical terminology: Domain-specific terms (medical, legal, engineering) may be misrecognized. There is no custom vocabulary feature currently.
- Multiple speakers: Accuracy may decrease slightly when speakers talk over each other.
| Audio Quality | Expected Accuracy (English) |
|---|---|
| Studio/podcast quality | 96-98% |
| Good webcam/home office | 94-97% |
| Conference room/meeting | 91-95% |
| Outdoor/noisy environment | 85-92% |
| Phone call quality | 80-90% |
How many languages does Veed support for auto subtitles?
Veed supports AI subtitle generation in 50+ languages, including:
- Tier 1 (highest accuracy): English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch
- Tier 2 (high accuracy): Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Hindi, Arabic, Turkish, Polish, Russian
- Tier 3 (good accuracy): Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malay, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Czech, Romanian, Hungarian, Greek, Hebrew, Ukrainian
The full list is available in the subtitle settings panel within the editor.
Can I edit auto-generated subtitles manually?
Yes. After AI generates subtitles, you can:
- Edit text by clicking directly on any subtitle block
- Adjust timing by dragging subtitle start/end points on the timeline
- Split or merge subtitle blocks
- Change styling (font, size, color, background, position)
- Add new subtitle blocks manually
- Delete subtitle blocks that are not needed
Does Veed support multi-speaker identification (diarization)?
Yes. When multiple speakers are present in the audio, Veed’s AI identifies and labels different speakers (Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.). You can rename speakers to their actual names. Speaker labels appear in the transcript and can be included in exported subtitle files.
Accuracy of speaker identification depends on how distinct the speakers’ voices are and whether they frequently talk over each other.
What subtitle file formats can I export?
Veed supports exporting subtitles in the following formats:
- SRT (SubRip) — the most widely supported format, compatible with YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, and most video platforms
- VTT (WebVTT) — the standard for HTML5 web video players
- TXT — plain text transcript without timestamps
- Burned-in — subtitles permanently rendered into the video file
Translation
How many languages can I translate subtitles into?
Veed supports AI translation into 50+ target languages. You can translate into multiple languages simultaneously — there is no need to translate one language at a time.
How accurate are AI translations?
Translation quality varies by language pair:
| Language Pair | Quality Level | Recommended Action |
|---|---|---|
| English ↔ Spanish | Very Good | Light review sufficient |
| English ↔ French | Very Good | Light review sufficient |
| English ↔ German | Good | Moderate review recommended |
| English ↔ Portuguese | Good | Moderate review recommended |
| English ↔ Japanese | Adequate | Native speaker review recommended |
| English ↔ Mandarin | Adequate | Native speaker review recommended |
| English ↔ Korean | Adequate | Native speaker review recommended |
| English ↔ Arabic | Variable | Professional review recommended |
| English ↔ Hindi | Adequate | Native speaker review recommended |
For professional or legally binding content, human review of AI translations is always recommended.
Does translation preserve subtitle timing?
Yes. When you translate subtitles, the timing (start and end timestamps) of each subtitle block is preserved. The AI also adjusts subtitle line lengths to account for the fact that different languages require more or fewer characters to express the same content (e.g., German text is typically 20-30% longer than English).
Can I translate subtitles without re-translating the entire track?
Currently, translation operates on the full subtitle track. If you need to update a single subtitle block’s translation, you can manually edit that specific block after translation without affecting the rest.
Does Veed offer AI dubbing (voice translation)?
As of early 2026, Veed does not offer AI dubbing — the feature where AI generates spoken audio in the target language. Veed focuses on subtitle-based translation. For AI dubbing, alternatives like HeyGen and Maestra offer this capability.
File Handling and Storage
What is the maximum file size I can upload?
| Plan | Maximum Upload Size |
|---|---|
| Free | 250MB |
| Basic | 2GB |
| Pro | 10GB |
| Business | 10GB (higher on request) |
What video formats does Veed accept?
Veed supports all common video and audio formats:
- Video: MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, FLV, MKV, WebM, 3GP

Note: While Pro and Business plans have no hard limit, performance may degrade for videos exceeding 2-3 hours. Veed is optimized for content up to approximately 90 minutes.
How much cloud storage do I get?
| Plan | Cloud Storage |
|---|---|
| Free | 2GB |
| Basic | 20GB |
| Pro | 100GB |
| Business | 500GB+ |
Can I download my projects and raw files?
Yes. You can export:
- Final rendered video in MP4 format at your plan’s maximum resolution
- Subtitle files in SRT, VTT, or TXT formats
- Audio-only export in MP3 format
- Individual project assets (uploaded media files)
You cannot export the Veed project file itself in a format usable by other editors. Projects are tied to the Veed platform.
What happens to my projects if I downgrade or cancel?
- Downgrade: Projects that exceed the lower plan’s limits (e.g., video length) become read-only. You can export them but cannot edit them until you upgrade again or reduce the project to meet the lower plan’s limits.
- Cancel: Projects are retained for 30 days after cancellation. After 30 days, they are deleted. Export anything you need before cancelling.
Collaboration and Teams
Can multiple people edit the same video simultaneously?
On Business plans, yes. Veed supports real-time collaboration where multiple team members can work on the same project simultaneously. Changes are synced in real time, similar to Google Docs for video.
On Pro plans and below, projects can be shared for viewing and commenting, but only one person can edit at a time.
What roles and permissions are available?
| Role | Capabilities |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access; manage team members, billing, and all projects |
| Editor | Create and edit projects; access brand kit; export |
| Reviewer | View projects; add comments; approve/reject |
| Viewer | View-only access to shared projects |
Can I share a video for external review without the reviewer needing a Veed account?
Yes. You can generate a shareable review link that allows external stakeholders to view the video and leave timestamped comments without creating a Veed account. This is available on Pro and Business plans.
Is there an approval workflow?
On Business plans, you can set up approval workflows where designated reviewers must approve a video before it can be exported or published. Approval status (pending, approved, changes requested) is tracked within the project.
Recording
Can I record my screen and webcam directly in Veed?
Yes. Veed includes a built-in recording studio accessible from any modern browser. Options include:
- Screen only: Records your entire screen or a specific window/tab
- Webcam only: Records from your webcam with optional virtual backgrounds
- Screen + webcam: Records both simultaneously with a webcam overlay
- Audio only: Records from your microphone for podcast or voiceover content
Does the screen recorder include a teleprompter?
Yes. You can paste or type your script, and a teleprompter scrolls it at an adjustable speed while you record. The teleprompter is visible only to you, not in the recorded output.
What recording quality is available?
Recording quality depends on your hardware and browser but typically supports up to 1080p. 4K recording is possible on capable hardware with Chrome browser. Recorded files are saved directly to your Veed cloud storage.
Export and Publishing
What export resolutions are available?
| Plan | Maximum Export Resolution |
|---|---|
| Free | 720p |
| Basic | 1080p |
| Pro | 4K (2160p) |
| Business | 4K (2160p) |
Does Veed add a watermark?
Only on the Free plan. All paid plans (Basic, Pro, Business) produce watermark-free exports.
How long does rendering/export take?
Export times depend on video length, resolution, and server load:
| Video Length | 1080p Export | 4K Export |
|---|---|---|
| 1-5 minutes | 30-60 seconds | 1-3 minutes |
| 5-15 minutes | 1-3 minutes | 3-8 minutes |
| 15-30 minutes | 3-6 minutes | 8-15 minutes |
| 30-60 minutes | 6-12 minutes | 15-30 minutes |
Pro and Business plans receive priority rendering, which generally reduces export times by 30-50% during peak hours.
Can I publish directly to social media from Veed?
Veed supports direct publishing to select platforms including YouTube. For other platforms (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn), you export the video and upload manually. Veed provides optimized export presets for each platform’s recommended specifications.
